Zoetis, the world’s leading animal health company, has launched a new, direct-to-vet distribution model known as ‘Zoetis Direct’ that will change the way Australian vets purchase companion animal products.
Zoetis Direct will benefit vet clinics from a closer relationship that will allow improved pricing, pricing transparency and more personalised service and offers from Zoetis.
“Zoetis is committed to supporting vets across Australia,” said Lance Williams, Zoetis vice-president and cluster lead, Australia and New Zealand.
“We have listened to our customers who told us that they have a strong desire for pricing transparency and find it time-consuming and confusing comparing pricing and offers from different wholesalers.”
To ensure transparent pricing, Zoetis has committed to a single price list from which all clinics, regardless of their size or location, can purchase products.
The company says the changes will improve market efficiency and result in lower prices for Zoetis products.
Clinics can order Zoetis products 24 hours a day via a new online portal, phone, email, fax, or via their Zoetis representative.
In order to facilitate a smooth transition, veterinary wholesalers will continue to have access to Zoetis companion animal products until 31 October. After the transition period, Zoetis companion animal products will only be available from Zoetis.
