Learning for life As a leader in practical veterinary education, Vetprac is dedicated to helping veterinarians build their skills and their confidence. VetPrac offers hands-on workshops on a range of topics, in locations throughout Australasia. All the workshops are conducted by trained specialists, and AVA member benefits apply. Founder Dr Ilana Mendels recognised that there was a need for practical, cost effective training to help vets expand and refresh their skills. In 2009 she founded VetPrac. Workshop attendees gain specialised skills that allow them to offer better service and more options to their clients. She has 15 years of experience in the industry, working as an AVA branch secretary, a vet nurse, sales rep and practising veterinarian. Beyond the training, Vetprac workshops allow veterinary professionals to build relationships with their peers and with universities and industry representatives. The approach of every workshop is collaborative, supportive and empowering.
