Leading veterinary group VetPartners has grown by three more practices since acquiring competitor AussiePaws in May, according to a statement released by the company. VetPartners acquired one practice in Queensland in May, and two in NSW in June.
Two more NSW practices are confirmed for settlement in the coming weeks, which will give VetPartners a total of 44 practices by the end of July and an annual turnover in excess of $70 million. According to the company’s statement the acquisitions will make VetPartners the second largest veterinary practice group in Australia, behind the publicly listed Greencross Limited.
Jon Shell, chairman of VetPartners, who co-founded a similar successful operation in Canada in 2006, said, “Our continued growth reflects a significant demand among Australian veterinary owners for a different approach to succession.”
