Pursue your passion for the veterinary industry at the NVC Veterinary Training Centres. Both Veterinarians and Vet Nurses are catered for with multiple workshops held throughout the year across the three NVC Veterinary Training Centres located in Melbourne, Queensland and Christchurch. The 2020 workshop schedule is now on sale and includes the most popular and sought-after workshops including dentistry; soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery; behaviour; emergency and critical care, and anaesthesia for nurses. We are also excited to announce the exciting introduction of ophthalmology workshops during 2020.

With Veterinarians required to keep their CPD accreditation up to date, it is important to note that all NVC Veterinary Training Centres workshops for Veterinarians are valued between 8 and 16 CPD points, dependent on the workshop.

The small group workshops are a combination of theoretical and practical learning delivered in a high tech wetlab. The aim of the practical training component is to allow techniques to be demonstrated and practised. All NVC Veterinary Training Centre workshops allow time for one-on-one tuition with workshop educators which ensures participants can confidently master new skills, resulting in a professionally rewarding experience.

All educators are leaders in their chosen field and have been carefully appointed so that workshop participants get the best training experience possible. The workshops empower all participants to achieve their potential and gain a professional edge, resulting in confident industry professionals who add exceptional value to their veterinary practices.

“The NVC Veterinary Training Centres will continue to be a key service offering from our business to the entire veterinary industry. Seeing a practical training gap that affected all practitioners, there was a real need for an advanced training facility.  Vet professionals needed support through training opportunities, to deliver the most advanced standards of care in clinics all over the world,” says NVC’s CEO Tomas Steenackers.

The demand from the wider veterinary industry for the training provided at these centres has reinforced this statement made by Tomas. The training is valued by clinic owners, veterinarians and vet nurses across Australia and New Zealand. With the release of the 2020 workshop schedule, the NVC Veterinary Training Centre will see over 900 veterinary professionals attend a training workshop at one of their three locations next year.
