Dr Pete getting the snip for Vets Beyond Borders

fundraiser for vets beyond borders

Veterinarian Dr Peter Van Orsouw from Belgrave South Veterinary Clinic is getting the snip—his hair that is—at the Australian Veterinary Association National Conference in Perth next month to raise funds for Vets Beyond Borders (VBB) and donate his hair to people who have lost theirs through cancer or alopecia.

Vets Beyond Borders is an international charity based in Australia that deploys volunteer veterinarians, veterinary nurses and other animal welfare workers across the globe to deliver animal health and community awareness programs where they are desperately needed.

Dr Pete’s goal is $5,000 and he kicked it off with a personal donation of $500. If Dr Pete reaches his goal, he said he’s going for the clean “No. 1 ‘romper stomper look’.” Any less than $5K will still see the pony tail come off, he promised.

Belgrave Veterinary Clinic will be live streaming ‘the snip’ on their social media pages so supporters won’t miss out. For more info and to show Dr Pete your support visit the VBB website.
