Dog accessories gives environmental waste a second life

AniPal’s newest collaboration with charity organisation, PETstock Assist, features a collection of Australiana themed dog collars and leads made from recycled plastic bottles and brass hardware.

“Experts estimate as much as 80 per cent of all litter accumulating in our oceans and seas is made of plastic,” PETstock Assist charity and events lead Jessica Curtis said.

“More sustainable pet products made from recycled or eco-friendly materials can greatly assist with a global effort to curb plastic consumption and pollution for our future generations.”

PETstock Assist’s newest partnership with AniPal aims to raise awareness for the environment as well as fund projects to help animals in need.

“Available in two print styles and colours (Black Cockatoo or Bilby), each celebrates a different aspect of our ecosystem and provides the perfect opportunity for you and your buddy to team up as earth ambassadors this summer,” Curtis said.

“AniPal’s mission is to lead by example and inspire the veterinary and broader animal industries to adopt proactive, sustainable practices which cleanse the environment for the benefit of all living creatures,” AniPal founder and veterinarian Dr Steph Stubbe.

“Our latest product range release with PETstock helps clean natural habitats by redirecting waste and giving useful materials a second life as beautiful recycled and sustainable pet products. We are really excited to be supporting and celebrating our native threatened species with PETstock Assist.”
