continuing professional development for vets

Most of us don’t like to be ‘boxed in’ or forced to fit someone else’s preconceived notions about us. We lead busy lives and managing it all can be a challenge. That’s why flexibility at all levels and in all areas of continuing professional development (CPD) is crucial.

Options in course delivery and length are especially important when it comes to CPD. We prefer to know that we can choose to study when it suits us; at midnight or the crack of dawn if we need to. Or we decide we want a combination of ‘in person’ with online learning.

Choice: Annually the CVE delivers 80+ CPD courses on a vast variety of veterinary topics. There are CVE courses available in every one of these subject areas: Cardiorespiratory Medicine, Small Animal Medicine, Behaviour, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia & Critical Care, Small Animal Surgery, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian, Exotics & Wildlife, Ethics, Welfare & Wellbeing and Equine & Ruminants.

Delivery: The CVE leverages its expertise in education delivery with the latest online education principles and technology to deliver one of the most comprehensive ranges of online veterinary education, as well as delivering high quality traditional intensive and practical face-to-face continuing education.

Geography: During 2019, CVE will host continuing education in 8 locations around Australia, including a holiday destination—Cairns, QLD. Alternatively, you can participate in the online courses from anywhere in the world.

Flexible and diverse CPD options open to all – you’ll find it difficult to choose!

Time: CVE’s conferences, seminars and practical workshops range from 1 to 5 days. Online education ranges from 1 hour, 10 hours or 10 months’ duration.

Cost: Ranging from free CVE Member CPD through to our premium Distance Education courses, the CVE allow you to keep up with your professional development at any budget.

Note: CVE Members receive relevant and significant discounts on CVE Courses—see cve.edu.au/membership for more information.

The choice is yours. But whatever you choose, you can trust that the CVE will provide you with high-quality, practical and applied continuing professional development tailored to your needs.V
